MEMPHIS — Jeff Green was traded away from Oklahoma City in February 2011, three months before the first of two epic seven-game postseason duels between the Thunder and Memphis Grizzlies.
Green was like the rest of us last April, watching intently from home — his Celtics season already concluded — as OKC and Memphis locked horns for a seven-game bloodbath that included four overtime thrillers.
“Yeah, I saw last year’s series,” Green said. “That was a great series.”
At the time, Green’s only connection to either team was fading memories of his playing days in Oklahoma City.
