For a lot of players in the league and fans around the world, the trade centered around Kyrie Irving and Isaiah Thomas was surprising, to say the least. Many took to their social media accounts to give their thoughts about it and for some, it was a chance to send a message to their former and new teammates.
One of them is Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart, who posted a tweet to welcome Irving to the team and also bid farewell to Thomas and Jae Crowder, who he has played with the past three years.
