One year ago this week, the Tulsa Drillers hosted the Texas League All-Star Game. The game drew a crowd of 7,449 — just short of a sellout.

Former Oklahoma Sooners quarterback and Drillers right fielder Cody Thomas had the play of the game, when he robbed Amarillo second baseman Ivan Castillo of a sure base hit with an impressive diving catch in the third inning.

As for this baseball season, the Drillers will begin play next week in a COVID-19 shortened season, and ONEOK Field will host another All-Star game (for high school players) next week.
