Law enforcement officials have responded to reports of a man sitting on a highway sign.
The driver of the car that struck the man before 6 a.m. stayed at the scene on Martin Luther Luther King Boulevard just north of Latimer Place and attempted to resuscitate the victim.
The investigation remains ongoing. The victim has not been identified pending next-of-kin notification.
Marquan Marshall, 25, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Jath Burns at the Uptown Club, 6328 S. Peoria Ave., around 4:15 a.m. Saturday.
