Letter: Legalizing homicide

I'm a bit confused. Gov. Kevin Stitt signed into law a bill that grants immunity to those who choose to drive through protestors with their vehicles ("Stitt signs bill protecting drivers fleeing riots," April 22).

I always thought that vehicles have always been legally labeled "lethal weapons" no different than a gun, knife, etc.

Why would we want assault or perhaps homicide legalized?
