OKLAHOMA CITY - An escaped Oklahoma County jail inmate has been captured and another is back in custody after they broke a 12th floor window and tied bed sheets to escape early Friday from the facility.

Just before 7 a.m., the Oklahoma City Police Department notified jail staff they detained Jose Balentin Hernandez, 33, who was found walking with a leg injury.

Hernandez, who is accused of rape, indecent exposure and burglary, broke his leg after jumping from the fourth floor of the jail, said Mac Mullings, programs and services coordinator with a jail trust that recently took over operations from the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office.

Hernandez was taken to OU Medical Center, Mullings said.
