Seminar will focus on age of Earth debate

Two Christian geologists will present “A Biblical and Scientific Portrait of Creation” seminar next weekend at Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian, 4102 E. 61st St.

The free seminar will be held 6:45-9 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m.-noon Jan. 17.

Ken Wolgemuth, a professional geologist in the oil industry and an adjunct university professor, said the seminar will explore the battle raging in the Christian church between those who believe Earth is no more than 6,000 years old, and those who believe Earth is much older.

“We will expose the fallacies of the young Earth position in a gentle and patient way,” he said.

Also speaking will be Gregg Davidson, professor of geology at the University of Mississippi.

Registration is encouraged, but not required. Call Wolgemuth at 918-852-3082 or email him at wolgemuth2@aol.com.
