The medical director of a clinic that opened last summer in Tulsa’s historic Greenwood District says he’s “heartbroken” that the Juno Medical facility is closing.
Dr. Jabraan Pasha revealed on his social media that the Tulsa team was informed Monday that the Juno Medical clinic would have to shutter.
“We are heartbroken. Not only for ourselves, but primarily for our community and all the patients we have had the pleasure of caring for,” Pasha wrote.
According to Pasha, the clinic’s closure was unrelated to the work it had done locally, adding that the community had embraced Juno Medical, with “unheard of” patient satisfaction scores of 95%.
“The information that we were given about our closing was that Juno lost support from a national investor, which significantly impacted the company’s financials,” Pasha said Friday in an additional statement. “As a result, the decision was made to shut down Juno’s two newest clinics, Atlanta and Tulsa.”

The clinic, which was located on the ground floor of the 21 North Greenwood building, had opened in late July.
“We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support received from patients, community members and local leaders,” Pasha said. “It is clear that what we were doing was, in fact, working. The desire and need for innovative and community-focused healthcare on Greenwood is more apparent than ever.
Calls and emails to officials at Juno Medical headquarters in New York were not returned Friday.
Juno is still listed Friday among investments from tennis star Serena Williams’ venture capital fund, as well as Atento Capital.
Pasha said in his Facebook post that Juno has supporters, including local investors, seeking solutions to help reopen the clinic’s doors.
“Most importantly, we have a group of clinicians (every last one), who are committed to making sure all of our patients are looked after in the meantime,” Pasha said. “We are all also committed to offering care on Greenwood.”
Juno Medical responded after publication with a statement.
"We are coordinating with local health care providers to facilitate continuity of care and ensure that all patients receive the support they need during this transition period," the statement sent via email Saturday reads. "Patients will be contacted directly with details on how to transfer their records and receive referrals to other health care practitioners. We will continue to focus on our patients and team as we resolve these operational matters."
