Update: The Oklahoma Department of Transportation reported shortly after 10:30 p.m. that all lanes of Interstate 44 have been reopened after a truck fire necessitated the closure of the westbound lanes near U.S. 75 Wednesday evening.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported about 6:55 p.m. that all westbound lanes were closed near the interchange in west Tulsa after a tractor-trailer's rear dual wheels caught fire.
The Tulsa Fire Department and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation responded. Officials were working to divert westbound traffic onto U.S. 75.
ODOT reported that one lane had been reopened about 7:45 p.m. Wednesday.
