Each new year the Tulsa World profiles people with local ties who may not be household names yet, but could be soon. For certain, they are people whose stories you need to know.
Our People to Watch come from a variety of backgrounds, occupations and avocations. They are ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
This year’s group includes: A rising young music star; a job trainer-turned lawyer-turned-criminal and social justice advocate; the new executive director of a mainstay non-profit; a college dean; the city official overseeing the Kirkpatrick Heights-Greenwood Master Plan; and the director of a non-profit that provides financial services for start-up businesses.
