A state trooper was involved Saturday in a rollover crash during a high-speed pursuit on U.S. 75.
The trooper was pursuing a vehicle that was reportedly clocked at 100 mph around 11:30 a.m. on U.S. 75, OHP Trooper Dwight Durant said. The trooper attempted to stop the vehicle and pursued it northbound on the highway to the area of West 81st Street.
“This pursuit resulted in the trooper’s patrol car being involved in a rollover accident,” Durant said.
The trooper reportedly sustained minor injuries. The vehicle he was pursuing fled the area.
Durant said the vehicle was a 2014 or 2015 black Dodge Charger with a temporary paper tag. The vehicle had a “heavily tinted” rear window. The tint had bubbles or other imperfections.
The pursuit started around West 131st Street and U.S. 75. Durant said the vehicle is possibly from the Jenks, Glenpool or south Tulsa areas.
