A 19-year-old woman died late Thursday in a collision on a midtown Tulsa street, police said.
The unidentified woman from Ochelata was driving a Kia sedan near 2600 S. Yale Ave. just before 9 p.m. when the collision occurred. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The condition of the other driver, a foreign national under age 18, was not reported.
Close to 43,000 people died in a traffic crash in 2021, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. That's up from about 39,000 deaths in 2020.
