I am said to be a huskador (husky and lab mix), but I have the coolest colors of my pack. I love to play with my siblings, and I even try to play with the cats. And my foster mom says I have been super good with my potty training because I haven't made one mess in the house! I would love to come play at your house too! Ruffus
Ruffus came into StreetCats on Dec. 31, but he hopes he doesn’t have to stay long. He came to us off the streets (abandoned in an apartment complex) in early December, and now, he’s totally healthy to be adopted. His estimated birthdate is 12/7/2019, he’s a brown tabby with white, and he weighs about 11 pounds. He has a white fur strip that is just on his right side and stops on his backbone. He seems to be very sweet and is OK to be petted but probably not picked up. We don’t know if he’s been around other cats or around dogs, but he’s hanging out with Sonny and Luna.
All cats have tested negative for FeLeuk/FIV and are current on rabies and FVRCP vaccinations. All StreetCats kitties have Home Again microchips implanted and are registered at no charge to the owner.

Scully
Scully is one of our "X-Files" kids who was found with her brother Mulder abandoned at a lake area. Even though they were starved, they were still friendly and craved positive attention. Approximately 5 months old, Scully, a Black Mouth Cur/Staffordshire Terrier mix is around 25 pounds. She is an energetic and sweet puppy who LOVES kids and other dogs. We think she would be good with cats, especially as young as she is. She does pretty well in the crate with some accidents, though we feel if she was able to go out in shorter periods, she would perfect it quickly. She listens and obeys remarkably well for a 5-month-old puppy too! Give this girl a chance to show you what a wonderful family “furmember” she can be! Clarice
Clarice is a beautiful, rare, red-headed girl with a rough start in life. She was originally cared for by a good Samaritan who would feed the stray cats in his neighborhood. When it became apparent that some of these cats were friendly and needed help finding a home, he immediately thought of us! We were happy to take this sweet girl and do our best to help her find a better life.
Unfortunately, due to her rough start in life, Clarice is still not super confident and tends to be fearful in stressful or new environments. Because of this, she would do better in a calm home with no dogs and no younger children. However, she seems to be cat friendly and might be comforted by another kitty companion in the home.
Clarice has been spayed, vaccinated, FeLV/FIV tested (negative), microchipped, and is current on parasite prevention.

Hi, my name is Sesi (it means snow) and I have a BEAUTIFUL solid white coat. I’m the only girl of my litter, and my foster ma says it’s a tough job, as I demand all the love (which I get, of course). I’m a sweet girl and love to play. I’ll do anything for a treat, even sit and lay down, which at 10 weeks old, I hear that’s an accomplishment. I’m told I’m a huskador (husky/lab mix), so obviously I’m very smart and playful.

Ollie
Ollie is an extra large red tabby with white. His birthdate is estimated as 12/11/2014 and he weighed in at 19.14 pounds. He just lost his forever home because his owner has to leave to take care of elderly relatives and he couldn’t go along. He hasn’t lived with cats before, but he has lived with a golden retriever and they were pretty good buddies. The youngest child he’s been around was 12 years old. His former owner said he is happy, bossy, sweet, cuddly and can be independent. He loves chin scratches and treats. He doesn’t scratch furniture and she said he had no behavioral problems. Despite his size, he jumps up on things and hangs out on top of the cages in the Big Cat Room in a hidey hole. His blood work showed he’s in excellent condition and he just had a dental cleaning.
All cats have tested negative for FeLeuk/FIV and are current on rabies and FVRCP vaccinations. All StreetCats kitties have Home Again microchips implanted and are registered at no charge to the owner.

Kiko
Kiko was found by a Good Samaritan as a stray dog. It’s thought that he was hit by a car from how he was walking. But after visiting a local animal clinic, the veterinarian believes he has been involved in a car accident in the past but he is now healed up. During further examination, the doctor found poor Kiko is full of buckshot from being shot at by horribly cruel humans.
Kiko has been in a wonderful foster home with another dog, where he loves all people despite having every reason not to be accepting. He’s ready to find his forever family. He will need a tall fence since his wandering days are over!
Kiko is what we call a gentle giant and is believed to be 6-7 years old. Kiko is house-trained and knows commands. He does well with other dogs, but as of yet, we are not sure about cats. He is fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. Kiko needs to be loved as much as he loves people and he is available for adoption through Compassionate Animal Rescue Efforts.

Alina is a very sweet-natured happy girl who bounces like Tigger! She gets along with other dogs and loves people, even the little ones! She is crate-trained and does listen well. Teddy is a 10-month-old Australian mix pup who is very smart! Our trainer was able to teach him several things in only one hour’s time! He loves playing with other dogs and does well with cats too! Percy Lou
Percy is a middle-aged girl who, along with her sister, was dumped at a local high-kill shelter after years of neglect and overbreeding. With the support of many, Percy and her sister were rescued by CARE Rescue. Unfortunately, her sister didn’t make it due to a cancerous mass. But Percy has received noninvasive medical treatment and is now just looking for a soft place to lay her head. Along with years of neglect, Percy is a bit overweight and is simply looking for a family who will treat her well. In only a few weeks, Percy has begun to show her true personality, and she is showing bursts of playfulness. But after a little bit of attention and activity, she is ready to go to a soft place to rest. If you are looking for a girl who isn’t looking for lots of activity, Percy will show you all the love a girl can. It is believed she is approximately 7 years old but still has lots of life. After first being dumped at a shelter which was loud and hectic, then going to Woodland West Animal Hospital for medical care, Percy is now seeing that humans can be caring, and she has made many new friends despite recently losing her sister. Boo
My name is Boo and I’m mostly a lounge act with a playful side. I made a name for myself on the streets and found a dashing older dog during my travels. I took the initiative and tried to move in with him, unfortunately his elderly owner wasn’t in the position to take in a younger gal like myself. However, I have since learned, the elderly woman and my current foster mom were in cahoots to end my gypsy ways. Turns out I happen to fancy being a house dog and one that excludes cats. There’s just something about how they skulk around acting like they want to play, but I discovered they are all frauds. They don’t really want to play, and they get all high and mighty when I try. Talk about mixed signals!
Anyway, I’m 3 years old, spayed, vetted, microchipped, house-trained and crate-trained and would very much like to have a family of my own. My foster friend got adopted, so life is pretty lonely nowadays. I promise to greet you every day with a smile and I aim to please. Georgie
Meet Georgie! This young dane mix is a light 72 pounds of long legs and goofy smiles! Lost in midtown Tulsa, Georgie found himself a good Samaritan to charm. His old home was eventually found but unable to care for him so we were happy to welcome this handsome hunk into our program and get him ready for adoption!
In a past life, we suspect Georgie was a model, as he will often strike a pose and wait for you to notice him, and he's definitely been practicing his smile in the mirror because it's spot on. Like any dedicated model, he frequents the gym, where he's working on his muscular bod and his ability to leap into the air with all his feet off the ground. He says he's an all-natural beauty with a soft and beautiful cream-colored coat with many charcoal patches that he claims he didn't get from a salon! He hasn't let it go to his head though and is happy to ask for cuddles on the couch, let you know when he needs to out outside to potty, and he's eager to learn obedience cues and tricks.
Standing as tall as a small pony, Georgie can scale a 4-foot fence easily so he needs a more secure backyard or supervision when outside. He loves being in our yard at the shelter and will happy, and quietly, sunbathe, people watch and play with his toys for hours.
Georgie has met older children and played well with canine friends. He radiates pure joy with his big smile and is the TOTAL package for a variety of families.

Carlos
Carlos is approximately 18 months old and don’t let his size mislead you. This boy is possibly the most “chill” dog you will ever meet. He rarely barks, loves other dogs and is the perfect gentleman with a smile that will melt your heart. Carlos loves to give hugs and kisses if you let him, but mostly, he is simply looking or a family to love and to be loved. Carlos is comfortable in a crate but doesn’t mind getting in the car if you want a buddy to tag along. He even walks great on a leash. There are not enough wonderful adjectives to describe this sweet boy, but be assured he is as calm and well-behaved as any dog you will ever meet. Johnny

Mr. Heckles
My name is Mr. Heckles, but my friends just call me Heckles. I’m a lifer here at CARE, meaning I was born into the rescue! I’m 2½ years old and so ready to find my forever family. I’m a little quirky, but I don’t think that means I don’t deserve an understanding family of my own. In fact, I’m patiently waiting for them to find me. I’m a pretty big guy weighing in at 91 pounds, and I’m a Great Pyrenees mix! I know how to sit, lay down, crawl, shake and even sit pretty! I walk well on a martingale collar too. I get a little nervous around new people and new dogs, but I do warm up. I may be a big guy, but I just can’t help that I get nervous, and I hope that doesn’t deter you from wanting to give me a shot. With my size, sometimes things scare me. I’m house- and crate-trained, and I think I would do best with grownups and bigger kids. The little ones sometimes have loud voices that make me nervous. I know that if I had a family that would love me and make me feel safe, I would be the very best loyal companion for my whole life. I really like to play fetch and go for car rides! Elaine
This brindle beauty is more than ready to bust out of the shelter and into a loving foster or forever home. She dreams of a life of comforts, snacks and love from her human family. At the shelter, she's become a staff favorite and can often be found out in our field on a walk, attempting to wedge herself into a lap while staff does computer work or showing off her training skills in the yard!
Elaine has got the petite back end, deep chest and energy typical of a boxer! She says the scales lie and often squeezes herself into a basket, bed or human lap sized for a much smaller dog than she. Her hilarious antics are sure to keep any family laughing. She enjoys running, jumping and lounging in the pool! She's so excited to be with her people that she jumps high into the air to smooch your face! While many think it's adorable, it would likely be too much for young children.
Elaine can be quite vocal when initially left alone in her kennel. She loves her people and doesn't want to see them go. For this reason, apartment homes might not be a great fit. Her new family will need to take some time off to help her settle in and feel comfortable in her new home before they leave her alone. Our TSPCA trainer can talk them through how to set sweet Elaine up for success!
Elaine has gone to dog parks and done well but can be a bit overwhelming one-on-one so would need a tolerable or mellow canine sibling in a home. We also believe she'd be more than happy to be a spoiled only dog!

Meet Eleanor! She is a young mama that was found on the streets trying to protect her three young babies and did a good job of it! Now, she and her puppies are ready for their forever homes! She is a 1-year-old mix with some beautiful coloring and she weighs about 60 pounds. Her foster mom says she is very sweet and super eager to please. She has lots of energy and loves to run. Eleanor does well in the house and is learning that she doesn't have to steal food to survive any longer. Beautiful Dora is approximately a year old and was found wandering the streets of Tulsa looking for her family. Lupen
Lupen is a 1-year-old who gets along great with other dogs and loves to wrestle and play. He knows how to sit and lay down. He is fearful of new people, but with the right person who is willing to be patient with him, he will be your best friend. Unfortunately, he is more fearful of men; however, once he learns to trust as he has with his foster's brother, he will reciprocate. From his foster mom: "Lupen is a complete goofball. Belly rubs are his favorite kind of love, and he’s more than happy to curl up in bed with you. If you don’t mind, he will thank you with lots of kisses and wet willies. He has lots of energy so he will do best with someone willing to play with him on a daily basis. Lupen is currently living with a 10-year-old girl so we feel he will do well with or without kids in the home. He is crate-trained and does best when he has a toy to entertain him. Lupen has not been cat tested, but he is interested in birds in his yard." His current foster says he is a sweet little guy and has made great progress in their home. Harold
Harold must have lived through many exciting adventures before we found him wandering with his friend, Frankie. He was severely underweight and had such a bad ear infection that one of his beautiful pointy ears will never stand back up. We think it gives him character though and definitely adds to his mysterious charm!
We sometimes call him Houdini because he must have used his 6 years of life to craft his escape skills! He can open gate latches with an expert flip of his nose and enjoys checking the perimeter of any fenced-in area that he's in. This guy is looking for a secure backyard and supervision outside as he settles into his new home or could do well in an apartment setting. He is currently living in a foster home and discovering all the indoor comforts that being a loved dog has to offer! He is often found lounging on the sofa or following his new human family from room to room. He is currently only being taken out on a leash because he's in an apartment, and he's doing just fine with that.
The perks of being a bit older, you don't need quite as much exercise! We believe Harold could fit easily into a variety of loving homes.
While he enjoys lounging outside, he is quiet and content when left alone in an apartment home! He doesn't seem to enjoy the company of rowdy young dogs but could likely do well with a calmer or mellow dog such as himself. He is a bit shy still so would do best in a home without children or with older ones. Even though he lived on the streets before he is such a gentleman and wouldn't ever even think of jumping on you but does still enjoy a good game of chase once he gets to know you.
At 6 years old and 54 pounds, he could stand to gain a little more weight and still has a lot of adventures left in him! Harold is looking for a forever home to help him continue his journey from street dog to spoiled companion!

Gizmo
Hi, I’m Gizmo. I am an almost 2-year-old Rat Terrier, and I weigh around 19 pounds. I had a bit of a rough start in my life, but my foster mom tells me things will only get better. I am having some trouble with my right eye. It’s either injured or infected, which may cause me to end up with a permanent wink. Can you find it in your heart to love me, even if I only have one eye? I promise it doesn’t stop me from being a sweet, pretty girl!
I do very well with other dogs. It can take me a little time to warm up, but I take cues very well and quickly figure out my place in the pack. I enjoy playing with other dogs and with squeaky toys! However, I’m not sure if I like cats. My foster mom is SUPER proud of me because I have not had one single accident in the house! I use the doggie door and do all of my business outside. I also do well in a crate — but ever since I’ve settled into my foster home, I don’t spend much time there anymore. Even when Mom leaves us dogs alone in the house for a while, I wait patiently until she returns.
My favorite pastime is cuddling, but I’m happy to faithfully sit close-by and wait for your attention. I have a good appetite, and I am quite athletic. I love spending time outside. Whenever one of my foster brothers or sisters goes out, I’m always the first to join them. Plus, my foster mom thinks I have been very helpful scaring off moles in the backyard, so I’ve been earning my keep!

Percy
Percy was one of the many dogs displaced by the flooding in Oklahoma. He now lives in the house, loves his crate and has not had one accident in the house. He even understands what “potty” means, sits on command, comes when called, walks great on a leash and has learned the commands “stop that” and “kennel up.” He’s so happy to be with children and he’s just happy to be with people! Percy is a gentle soul and a tender spirit. He is approximately 4 years old and is believed to be a lab/mastiff mixed breed. Smart and silly, Gloria is the perfect combo! This 2-year-old cattle dog mix is always up for a fun walk, a game of fetch, a nice chew or to learn a new trick. Gloria absolutely loves to play, but she can be serious when she needs to be — look at that laser focus in her eyes! She takes cues well and is quick to pick up on what's requested of her. Pudge
Pudge is the sweetest girl who wants to give lots of love to the right owner. She is approximately 2 years old, and she would be best in a home as the only dog and with a family who will spend time training her to be the perfect companion. She will sit and offer her paw for treats. Pudge loves to chase and retrieve her balls. She is great on a leash, and she is crate-trained. She loves to cuddle on the couch and in your lap (she thinks she is a lap dog). Pudge is housebroken but will pee if she gets in a situation that makes her anxious. She would prefer a female owner.
