Oliveto Italian Bistro adds seasonal items to menu

Tulsa-based Oliveto Italian Bistro, 8922 S. Memorial Drive, has added four seasonal specials that will be available through May 28.

The specials include Italian nachos ($9.25), atomic chicken salad ($9), cheddar skirt burger ($9.99) and shrimp Parmesan ($12.50).

The nachos are prepared with tortilla chips topped with alfredo sauce, pepperoni, Italian sausage, roasted red peppers, kalamata olives, and cheddar, mozzarella and provolone cheeses. They are garnished with jalapeno peppers and green onions and drizzled with a balsamic reduction.

The chicken salad includes mixed greens, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions and roasted red peppers tossed in a garlic-asiago vinaigrette and garnished with chicken breast and croutons.

The skirt burger features two seared quarter-pound seasoned patties and caramelized onions topped with more than one-third pound of cheddar cheese skirt, served with burger sauce and fries.

The shrimp Parmesan includes asiago-breaded fried shrimp and melted mozzarella and provolone cheeses, served with basil marinara on a bed of thin spaghetti.

Bousquet wines top French Hen dinner

Wines from Domaine Bousquet, one of the world’s top organic wine producers, will highlight a dinner at 6:30 p.m. March 29 at the French Hen, 7143 S. Yale Ave.

The Bousquet family has been making wines for four generations in southern France and has expanded into Argentina to produce world-class wines.

Wines to be served at the dinner include Domaine Bousquet chardonnay reserve, pinot noir, malbec reserve and cabernet sauvignon reserve.

They will be paired with garlic shrimp tostone with fried plantains, grilled shrimp and avocado; sandwich de bandiola with pork, purple cabbage, onion and tomato; lamb empanada with cilantro-mint salsa verde, and strip steak with fingerling potatoes and chimichurri.

Cost is $65 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Reservations: 918-492-2596.

Braum’s introduces six new ice cream flavors

Braum’s has introduced six new ice cream flavors that will be available in all of its stores for a limited time.

The flavors are sea salt caramel cashew, Speculoos cookie butter, cool mint cookie, circus animal cookie, white chocolate macadamia nut and The Perfect Pair.

Poppy wines to highlight Biga dinner Monday

Wine broker Scott Large will host a dinner featuring wines from Poppy, located in the Monterey (California) Wine Country, at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Biga, 4329 S. Peoria Ave.

Wines include Poppy Santa Lucia Highlands chardonnay, Poppy Monterey pinot noir and Poppy Paso Robles cabernet sauvignon.

They will be paired with shrimp enchilada with pineapple pico de gallo, three-cheese baked pasta with porcini and pancetta, pork ribs vindaloo with cilantro chutney, and lemon-blueberry cake.

Cost is $45 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Reservations: 918-743-2442.
