Specific allegations of a sexual assault by an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper of a woman he pulled over in June were detailed for the first time Tuesday in documents released by the Creek County District Attorney’s Office.
Eric Roberts, a 16-year OHP trooper, stopped the 36-year-old woman on Interstate 44 in Creek County just after 2 p.m. June 15, offered her $20 for a lap dance and then instructed her “to use a U-Haul truck to move, so he could stop her and they could have sexual intercourse in the back” of the truck, an affidavit states.
The document does not state whether intercourse occurred during the stop, only that Roberts “intentionally touched” the woman’s shoulder while making sexual advances. He also asked the woman about her tattoos and “reached over and moved her shirt around to expose a tattoo on her shoulder,” the document claims.

This alleged incident is the earliest documented in the case against Roberts, who was arrested Monday at his home following 54 days of investigation by the OHP, Patrol Chief Ricky Adams said Monday at a media conference in Oklahoma City.
Adams said investigators have located three potential victims — the woman allegedly assaulted June 15 and two others outlined in a lawsuit filed last month — as well as three other times Roberts stopped a woman and acted “questionable” but not criminal.
Adams said Roberts turned off his microphone, as well as the dashboard camera in all six of those incidents, although the lawsuit, which was filed against Roberts and the OHP, cites conversations between investigators and attorneys stating that some video exists.
The allegations made against Roberts surfaced in August, when the lawsuit was filed. It details an alleged encounter Roberts had with a 28-year-old woman on July 22. Roberts is alleged to have told the woman — for whom arrest warrants had been filed — that he “would not take her to jail or write her a ticket, but needed convincing,” an affidavit states.
Roberts asked the woman to masturbate inside his patrol vehicle as he drove it, watched a pornographic video on the woman’s cellphone, then drove to a secluded area where he raped her, according to the affidavit.
When those allegations were made, another woman came forward saying Roberts had stopped her July 8 for a traffic violation, then asked her “what she would do for that amount of money.” He then put the 22-year-old woman in his patrol vehicle, drove to a secluded location, made her put his penis in her mouth and then ejaculated on her leg, the affidavit alleges.
Creek County District Attorney Max Cook said Tuesday that he thinks a decision on whether Roberts, who was released from jail on bond Monday evening, would be charged would be finished “within a week or so.”
He said an ongoing jury trial term, as well as the amount of information turned over by OHP investigators, might slow the process.
