Two Sperry residents were injured in a car accident on Jan. 3.

The incident occurred around 9 a.m. on 86th Street North about a half a mile east of OK-11 in Tulsa County, according to the accident report.

It states that Duane Alan Archuleta, 62, was traveling westbound on 86th Street North when he allegedly suffered a medical condition that caused him to pass out and cross the center line, striking Michael T. Scott, 53, who was traveling eastbound.

Both men were trapped in their vehicles for about a half hour before being freed by the Jaws of Life, the report states.

Archuleta was transported to a local hospital and admitted in stable condition with head, trunk internal and leg injuries. Scott was also transported and admitted in stable condition with trunk internal and leg injuries.
