Dying is deeply personal and a hospice embraces death as a natural conclusion to life.
Grace Hospice is seeking volunteers to help provide comfort and support to its patients in the Tulsa area and surrounding communities like Sand Springs, Bristow, Bixby, and Claremore.
Visiting volunteers see their patients on average of 2-6 times per month. Volunteers work on their own schedule, especially if they see patients in care facilities.
Grace Hospice is also looking for caregiver relief for up to six hours in Tulsa and the surrounding areas. These volunteers sit with patients while the caregiver takes personal time. Specialty volunteers are also needed such as beauticians for hand massages and manicures or musicians to play soothing music in the care facilities.
Compassionate volunteers must pass a background check and provide their own transportation. Grace Hospice requires a yearly TB-test. The hospice will provide proper training.
