EDDY - Clyde Joseph, 97, a retired mechanical engineer, passed away on May 28, 2008. A life long Tulsan, he was born on January 1, 1911. Preceded in death by: his wife of 64 years, Louise Barbara Harl Eddy, who died in 1996; his son Clyde Joseph Eddy, Jr.; his daughter Theresa Ann Casillas; and granddaughter, Mary Ann Griscom. He was listed in Who's Who in Tulsa, co-owner of REMCO, Ramsey-Eddy Mfg. Co., and Regional Manager of Lone Star Steel Co. He was a member of the Tulsa Club, The Petroleum Club of Tulsa and the Tulsa Historical Society. Vitally interested in the history of Tulsa, particularly the Race Riot of 1921 which he witnessed and after which he, as a 10 year old child, saw the mass burial of victims at Oaklawn Cemetery. He helped start Tulsa's first black Boy Scout Troop when he was a 16-year old Eagle Scout. He was a member of Holy Family Cathedral and the Knights of Columbus, Council 4721. He is survived by: his sister, Winona Henderson; his son, William Stephen Eddy D.O. and wife Lynn, daughters: Carole Sanders, of the home, Evelyn Nichols, Patricia Griscom and husband James; Vickie Buckendorf and husband Michael; Barbara Harvey and husband Gerald; son-in-law Larry Casillas; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren, all of the Tulsa area; 2 sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. The Rosary will be on Sunday, June 1, 2008 at 3:30 p.m., at Fitzgerald's Ivy Chapel and the Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., on Monday, June 2, 2008, at Holy Family Cathedral.
